Automation is Sweet.

Proofmaker is a sophisticated Photoshop plugin that allows you to easily resize your photos to any common standard size, making it perfect for preparing files for printing or the web. You can add borders, logos and labels — including the filename, impossible with an action — too. It's all controlled by a slick UI that is easy to understand. What are you waiting for?

So Much More than a Brainless Action

Creating proof images for your clients can be a time consuming proposition. Actions can get you part of the way there...but remember, actions are just simple macros blindly applying pre-recorded steps to your photos. And their limitations will let you down.

For example, actions can't differentiate between aspect ratios, forcing you to separate the portrait files from the landscape files and run different actions for each set. Extra work? No thanks.

Actions will also disappoint if you want to add text to your proofs, since text sizes are directly dependant on the resolution of the file. Not to mention that it's just not possible to insert the filename into an image using actions.

Finally, adding a border to your print while maintaining both the aspect ratio of the original photo and the aspect ratio of the desired final size can only be done with a smart application, not a simple action.

Proofmaker solves all these problems. With it you can apply borders and text to an entire folder of images — automatically! No matter what size, aspect ratio or resolution you throw at Proofmaker, each one is resized perfectly to your specification.
